STREET IMPROVEMENTS

I-10/Riverside Ave. Interchange, Rialto

BergCM, as Prime, provided construction management, materials testing, construction surveying and landscape construction management services to SANBAG for this $34 million interchange replacement project with Caltrans oversight, funded by state and federal funds and Rialto Redevelopment Agency bonds. Designed to alleviate traffic congestion on the bridge and freeway ramps and reduce air pollution caused by idling vehicles, the project replaced the existing five-lane Riverside Avenue bridge over the I-10 freeway with a nine-lane bridge.

Council District 8 Sidewalk Improvements Project (Phase 1)

BergCM provided construction management services for this innovative neighborhood sidewalk replacement project which repaired dangerous, broken sidewalks at over 100 locations in South Los Angeles. Sidewalk repairs are desperately needed throughout Los Angeles, but due to allotted funds held in limbo by pending slip and fall lawsuits, progress towards the goal of safe sidewalks remained at a standstill for many years.

Sunset Strip Beautification Project

BergCM provided construction management and public outreach for this high-profile project in a high-volume, congested commuter corridor located between the west City limit and the east City limit on Sunset Blvd in the City of West Hollywood.

Pigeon Pass Rd. Widening

BergCM, as Prime Construction Manager, provided administration and inspection services for construction of this $6.4 million project to widen and improve Pigeon Pass Rd. from Ironwood Ave. to North City Limits in the City of Moreno Valley. Pigeon Pass Rd. provides an arterial road connection to a large residential area.

Ocean Blvd./SR-47 Terminal Island Freeway Interchange Project

BergCM provided construction management, project controls coordination of inspection and project controls testing and contract administration for the $25 million construction of the Ocean Blvd./SR-47 Terminal Island Freeway Interchange Project in the Long Beach Harbor District. The project included construction of a grade-separated freeway interchange to accommodate expected increases in through-traffic generated by the Pier T and Pier S developments on Terminal Island.

Byzantine-Latino Quarter Street Improvement Project

Work on the Byzantine-Latino Quarter Project on behalf of the Los Angeles Neighborhood Initiative included improvements to two plazas located at entrances to project area including landscape, irrigation, street furniture, decorative concrete, signal pole relocation, tree wells, lighted bus shelter improvements and clock towers.

Harry Bridges Blvd. Buffer Project and Voluntary Street Improvements

As the Construction Manager, Berg CM provided constructability reviews, Construction Management, cost estimating, project controls, safety, SWPPP, and administered the Port of Los Angeles’ air quality program.

Assessment District 29 Street Improvements

BergCM, as Prime Consultant, managed two construction contracts for the City of Palm Desert totaling $17 million for the installation of trunk line sewers (Phase 1) followed by Phase 2 work which included earthwork grading, storm drain installation, curb and gutters, water lines, roadway grading, placement of conventional and Rubberized Asphalt Concrete (ARHM) paving followed by signalization poles, traffic loops, signage and striping.

I-605/Carson St. Improvements Project (Phase 1)

BergCM, as Prime Consultant, provided all construction management services for this $5 million project, which included the widening and significant construction of Carson St. as well as on- and off-ramp reconfigurations to Interstate 605.
