SR-118 Widening Project

BergCM, as Prime Consultant to Caltrans District 7, provided construction management and support services in Ventura County. Services included construction inspection, office engineering and engineering support services for the SR-118 Widening Project, and assistance on SR-23, with a total construction cost of approximately $60 million.

As part of the SR-118 Widening Project, BergCM oversaw the expansion of the Ronald Reagan Hwy. eastbound from three to four lanes by providing one additional lane in each direction from Tapo Canyon Road to the LA County line in the City of Simi Valley. The construction included bridge widenings, soundwalls on CIDH piles, installing irrigation and landscaping, installing detector loops and ramp meters, providing and installing changeable message signs. Fiber-optic lines for a closed circuit television (CCTV) system were constructed beyond widening limits.
