Ocean Blvd./SR-47 Terminal Island Freeway Interchange Project
BergCM provided construction management, project controls and coordination of inspection and testing for the $25 million Ocean Blvd./SR-47 Terminal Island Freeway Interchange Project for the City of Long Beach in the Long Beach Harbor District in association with Jacbos. The project included construction of a grade-separated freeway interchange to accommodate expected increases in through-traffic generated by the Pier T and Pier S developments on Terminal Island. Work entailed construction of a “split diamond” interchange and a grade separation at the Ocean Blvd./Henry Ford Ave. intersection. It was designed and built by the Port of Long Beach to Caltrans standards.
