The Compton Creek Rail Bridge Project
A replacement structure, four-span, steel through girder three-track bridge
located near State Route 91 and the freeway on-ramp.
The Long
Beach Lead Rail Bridge and Segment 3
A six-span precast, pre-stressed, concrete double box girder to provide
connection of the ACTA mainline to the Port of Long Beach.

Coordination
with the Burlington Northern Santa Fe and Union Pacific railroads, multiple utilities /
companies, various City Agencies, other regulatory agencies.
Construction
adjacent ACTA mainline track, already impacted with heavy freight volumes
Construction operations
"worked around" the growing volume of train traffic.
Existing and proposed
utilities removed or incorporated into new construction
Critical to maintain
schedule and worker safety
Involves channel and
high ground water work conditions.
